Afternoon visit to City Palace, a magnificent palace complex showcasing a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Explore Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory and a UNESCO World Heritage site. DAY 4, 2nd Sep 2025: Post breakfast, take a photo-stop at Hawa Mahal, the palace of winds. Then visit Amer Fort, a majestic hilltop fort, and enroute visit Jal Mahal, a palace in the Man Sagar lake. Explore the local markets for traditional textiles, jewelry, and handicrafts. Evening visit to Nahargarh Fort to enjoy panoramic views of the city during sunset. DAY 1, 31st Aug 2025: Arrive at Varanasi on your own by flight, one of the oldest and most spiritual cities in India. Check in to your hotel. In the late afternoon, head to the ghats along the Ganges River to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony. This spiritual ritual is a beautiful sight as oil lamps are lit and offerings are made to the river. Explore the bustling lanes of the old city, known for their vibrant markets and narrow alleys. DAY 2, 1st Sep 2025: Early morning boat ride on the Ganges River to witness the sunrise and observe the city’s spiritual activities along the ghats. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Note that non-Hindus might have restricted access to the inner sanctum. Explore the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus, known for its beautiful architecture and the Bharat Kala Bhavan museum. Afternoon visit to Sarnath, the place where Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Explore the Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, and the Sarnath Archaeological Museum. DAY 3, 2nd Sep 2025: After breakfast, you will start from ‘Godowlia Crossing’ for the HERITAGE WALKING TOUR. This walk is about 3-4 hours in the old part of the oldest living city, and will explore the Hidden parts of this city, which are not commonly visited by the tourists here. Enroute Chowk Police Station, Thatheri Bazar, PANCHGANGA Ghat, Maidagin via Gopal Mandir. Some parts of the walk will be on the crowded roads and major parts will be in narrow, but lively alleyways, which are the soul of VARANASI. Rest & relax at the hotel. We pick you from Amritsar airport/station and drive to the hotel, after fresh-up, visit Jallianwala Bagh, a public garden and a memorial to commemorate the massacre of peaceful celebrators by the British forces. Golden Temple is home to Harmindir Sahib, with stunning golden architecture. The daily Langar (community kitchen) at the temple attracts a large number of devotees each day. DAY 2, 31st Aug 2025: After breakfast, proceed for Local Sightseeing ~ The Partition Museum, located in the town hall of Amritsar (closed on monday). Proceed to Durgiana Temple, built in the third decade of the 20th Century, is a well-known repository of Hindu scriptures. Then head to the renowned Wagah Border, which marks the boundaries between Indian and Pakistani borders. The Beating Retreat Ceremony is a 30-minute display of military camaraderie and showmanship, which includes the closing of the international gates and lowering the flags of both countries.
